Program Information

Presented by the Mississippi State Personnel Board (SPB), the Administrative Support Certification Program (ASCP) is designed to provide comprehensive training to staff that support the program areas of governmental agencies. ASCP helps support staff better understand themselves, their organizations, and their relationships with their co-workers and their organizations. The program offers participants a variety of learning experiences including practicial applications of learning that directly relate to their on-job challenges. In addition, participants enjoy an opportunity to network and build relationships with their peers. This training program is for Mississippi local, state and federal government employees.


Program Goals

  1. To set forth an agenda for a comprehensive, quality program for governmental support staff that addresses the needs for governmental agencies;

  2. To provide an affordable development training path for support staff;

  3. To assist governmental agencies in identifying and addressing current and future training needs for support staff; and

  4. To provide an opportunity for professional growth and recognition of dedicated governmental support staff employees.

To Register: Complete an Administrative Support Certification Program Registration Form. APPLICATIONS AND FORMS may be completed online and printed OR printed and completed offline. Participants can register online through the Mississippi Enterprise Learning Management System (MELMS).
